1-on-1 Relationship Coaching
Personalized for You
Relationships are one of the most rewarding and challenging aspects of life...
💔 ❤️🩹 💖
...and many of us weren't taught how to have healthy ones.
Do you find yourself...
...wondering if you should stay or go in your current relationship?
...desperately searching for any way to save your relationship?
...in unhealthy patterns within relationships, not sure why the same thing keeps happening over and over again with different partners?
...having difficulty setting boundaries so you can feel sane and safe?
...wanting to move on, but in need of support?
💞
Well then, you've come to the right place.
I know the agony of being stuck in relationships that just aren't working. How devastating it feels to know something has to change, but that I can't control the other person's behavior. I know the frustration, hopelessness, and fear that can become constant companions in a tumultuous relationship. And, I know how to start the messy process of unraveling that tangle of string all the way through to making things right.
Before I started working with Julia, I was stuck in my work and my relationships. I was often frustrated and resentful, and couldn’t figure out the way forward. Julia was real with me – something you don’t get from many people these days – and I knew I could trust her to give me her honest, non-judgmental feedback while I worked towards achieving my goal of having meaningful relationships. I’m so glad that I took the leap to start coaching – I now have the resources and assurance I needed to keep following my gut and to do things for myself rather than for others. Thank you!

You are not alone, and this is normal.
When I look around our society today, I see a lot of distress within families. Oftentimes, our family of origin did not teach us the skills we need to have healthy, fulfilling, and nourishing relationships. Many families:
-
are really good at sweeping things under the rug & pretending everything is ok.
-
have blow outs that, once over, are never referenced again, everyone pretends like they never happened, and repair is never made.
-
are raised by guardians who bend over backwards to make everyone else happy and do not model self-care and boundaries.

All of these things we experience in childhood lead to dysfunctional relationships in our adult lives, if left unchecked.
These behaviors teach us that this is what a relationship looks like, and do not model the behaviors that foster a safe environment to which we can bring our mind, body, and soul into. Instead of bringing our entire Self to the relationship, we bring only the parts that we think are acceptable, disowning our needs, desires, and idiosyncrasies that make us into the beautiful, unique beings we each are.
This leads to conflict within any relationship - romantic or otherwise.
In the Bwiti spiritual tradition in Africa, they say our life is like living in two different movies. The first movie starts at conception and is written, directed, and produced by our parents/caretakers. The second movie is written, directed, and produced by YOU, and it starts the moment you decide to leave the proverbial nest. If you did not learn the skills for healthy relationships in the first movie, it is your responsibility to learn them so you can produce a different movie instead of just a sequel.

I don't know if your relationship can be saved, if you should stay or you should go...
...you are the only one who can decide that. But I do know what a healthy relationship looks like, and the skills you need to sustain one. I can teach you this. I can help you explore your inner landscape, transform the things getting in the way of what, and change the landscape of your relationship, helping you make the changes necessary to cultivate a healthy one...even if your partner isn't involved in our coaching.
If you've read this far, chances are you are hurting and struggling, and I feel you. Regardless of the path you choose from here...
...may the blessing of nourishing and supportive relationships be yours - romantically, familially, professionally, and everywhere.
